A Message from the Pastor . . . . . . . . .

It is probably hard to believe that another Homecoming celebration has come and gone. It was truly a wonderful celebration. 110 years of nurturing faith is quite an accomplishment. 110 years with Jesus Christ as the head of the church. What a joy it was for me to worship and have fellowship with former pastors, former members, and family members. It is a great reminder of our larger church family as well as a wonderful reminder of what a privilege it is to be part of this community of faith. This church is a church that through the power of the Holy Spirit worships together, loves one another, supports one another, and leans on one another in times of distress. This church is a church that I am confident will continue to do those things for another 110 years.

I also want to take this opportunity to say thank you again to everyone who put in so much time and effort into making Homecoming such a success. You are all a blessing to this church and to this community. As we come to the end of another church year, and start another new one at Advent, I am filled with hope and joy to see what God has in store for us next. God is with us. May you be richly blessed.

 “Thanksgiving Day Blessing”

Lord, I’m so thankful,

For my family, my health, a nice soft bed

My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head

I’m thankful right now to be surrounded by those

Whose lives touch me more than they’ll ever possibly know,

Thankful Lord, that You’ve blessed me beyond measure,

Thankful that in my heart lives life’s greatest treasure,

That You, dearJesus, reside in that place

And I’m ever so grateful for Your unending grace,

So please, heavenly Father, on this Thanksgiving Day,

bless this food you’ve provided,

And bless each and every person invited.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing you a day full of blessings!
